Guest Blogging

I welcome guest posts here at Thinking Matters Academy. They give the readers fresh perspectives beyond what I can provide. I also learn a lot from the guest posts.

email me at info@thinkingmattersacademy.com

Here are two reasons why you may want to write a guest post:

1. You will help people through your writing

This is always a good thing. While you already help people through your blog, by writing here you can help even more people since you reach a new audience.

2.You will get exposure for your work
There are more than 2,000 subscribers here who will see your guest post. Since your guest post includes links to your work (such as your blog), it means that your work will get exposure to thousands of people. This is not to mention potentially thousands others who may come to your post through social media sites or search engines.
You may choose any personal-growth topic for your post. The important thing is that it provides useful value for the readers.

You may choose any personal-growth topic for your post. The important thing is that it provides useful value for the readers.

Of course, there are some guidelines for the post. The post must be:

  1. Original
It can’t be a post that has been posted on your own blog or anywhere else before. In other words, it must be a new post.
  2. Fresh or comprehensive
The post must be either fresh or comprehensive. A fresh post has fresh ideas or takes a fresh approach to a subject. A comprehensive post has comprehensive treatment of a subject, usually in the form of a long list. I won’t accept a post that, in my opinion, is neither fresh or comprehensive.
  3. At least 600 words long
This is for the content part, not counting the title and bio.
  4. At most 50 words bio
You may include links to your work here. Please put the bio at the end of the post. I will write my introduction at the beginning.
  5. In list form
Lists are practical and scannable. The readers love them. Please see the sample guest posts below.
  6. No links to unrelated sites
As I write above, you may link to your work in the bio. Please note, however, that I won’t accept posts that link to sites that are unrelated to personal growth. For example, I won’t accept posts that link to a site about online schools/education. Sometimes I make exceptions, but it rarely happens.
  7. No affiliate links

I reserve the right to edit the post as needed (for example, to fix spelling or grammar errors) and to reject post that I feel is not appropriate for this website.
